Maleware Vs. Viruses Justin Guevara Pd.3

Being in the age of technology that we live in it should be a standard for all to know a little about the danger that lurk on the internet and what we can do to prevent it.

A computer virus is just like a biological virus being that they both process via a similar way whereas they both invade a system whether that be an immune one or a computer system. Once in just like a biological virus a computer virus will attach itself onto and confuse and replicate onto other files when certain conditions are met. They can be triggered multiple ways date and time, opening a specific program, or even having a certain amount of disk usage at the time. From there it will replicate itself everywhere and infect other files and programs along the way. The effects that this can have on a computer are numerous and depending on what the virus was meant for it can go as far as corrupting your entire computer and all your important documents along with it. While on the other hand malware which stands for malicious software they don;t necessarily infect and multiply a computer like a virus would but they can find their way into your computer if not careful. Being a malicious software once you have it there are a plethora of things that can be done that can cause serious damage like logging keystroke on your computer meaning they can see everything you type including passwords and other important secret things. To mitigate these risks of viruses and malware what you need is strong, current, and up to date anti-virus software to help prevent it from contaminating your computer.
